Kovli (Kurdish: گوندێ کوڤلی, Gundê Kovli)[1][2] is a Kurdish village located in the Duhok Governorate, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. It lies within the administrative boundaries of the Mangesh[3] district and has a population of approximately 5,000 people.[4]

Culture

Kovli preserves a rich and diverse culture that reflects the authentic Kurdish heritage. The village is known for its celebrations and festivals that showcase local arts and crafts.[5]

Economy

Kovli's economy is primarily based on agriculture and animal husbandry. The village is famous for cultivating a variety of crops such as grains and vegetables, as well as producing dairy products. Some residents also rely on trade and services as additional sources of income.

Climate

Kovli has a relatively cool climate, with summer temperatures typically not exceeding 30°C, making it suitable for outdoor activities. In winter, the village experiences low temperatures, which can drop below freezing.
