Ishq Di Chashni is a 2025 Pakistani romantic comedy Ramadan special television drama series which premiered on 1st of Ramadan 2025 or 2 March 2025 on Green Entertainment.[1] Directed by Shahid Shafaat, written by Sadia Siddiqa and produced by Tehreem Chaudhary, under the production banner of Multiverse Entertainment, it stars Sehar Khan and Khushhal Khan in lead roles.[2][3][4]

Premise

Set in a lively city where flavours weave narratives, Ishq Di Chashni unfolds as a delightful blend of love, ambition, and dreams. At its core is Rakshi Butt, a determined young woman with a passion for opening her own mithai shop, believing that every sweet embodies love. On the other side is Sheikh Sheharyar, an ambitious man striving to establish a successful restaurant, convinced that food is the ultimate expression of connection. As their paths cross, they find themselves entangled in a whirlwind of rivalry, misunderstandings, and unforeseen companionship.

Soundtrack

The Original Soundtrack for the series is performed by Sahir Ali Bagga. Shuja Haider penned the lyrics and done the composition also. The OST was released on 26 February 2025.[7]

Production

Development, casting and filming

Rakshi Sweet was the initial name of the series but later in October 2024 it changed to Ishq Di Chashni. In 2024 it was announced that Sehar Khan and Khushhal Khan will appear in upcoming television series which will be directed by Shahid Shafaat.[8] The series was announced during the production of DuniyaPur, which was the second collaboration after Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri of director Shahid Shafaat and Khushhal Khan.[9] Sehar Khan and Khushhal Khan made their first on-screen collaboration with the drama series.[10] First Look for the series released on 10 February 2025 by Green Entertainment and the full trailer was released on 24 February 2025. First episode broadcast on 1st of Ramadan 2025.[11] Principle photography begun in 2024 and completed in January 2025. Filming for the television series took place in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.[12][13]

Reception

Bollywood Life and Lollywood Pictures reviewed the series with positive remarks and states that "Ishq Di Chashni has generated interest among television audiences due to its lead pairing of Khushhal Khan and Sehar Khan, both of whom have gained popularity in recent years through Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri (2023), DuniyaPur (2024) and Fairy Tale, Jafaa respectively. The drama have been noted for their aesthetic visuals and romantic theme, drawing attention from viewers who enjoy lighthearted Ramadan serials. Critics have commented on the familiar romantic narrative, with some noting that the Ramadan drama format has become a growing trend in Pakistani television, While some viewers have expressed enthusiasm for the chemistry between the leads.[14][4]
