Greece debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 with their entry being selected through a national final. Nicolas Ganopoulos with the song “Fili gia panta” won the national final and represented Greece at Junior Eurovision 2003. Nicolas Ganopoulos got 8th with 53 points.[1][2]
Before Junior Eurovision
The final took place at 6 October 2003 at the Cine Keramikos Athena. The final consisted of 10 entries. The final was hosted by Masa Fasoula and Themis Georgantas. The results were decided by 50% professional jury and 50% public voting. The professional jury consisted of Dafni Mpokota (presenter), Fokas Evaggelinos (choreographer), Thanos Kalliris (singer and composer), Stavros Papastauvrou (composer and lyricist), Sokratis Soumelas (musical producer), Ilias Philippos (lyricist) and two children: Vasia Giannakopoulou and Giorgos Gkontevas. The guests of the final were Evridki (Cypriot Eurovision Song Contest 1992, 1994 and 2007 representative), One (Cypriot Eurovision Song Contest 2002 representative), Theodora Rafti (Cypriot Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2003 representative) and Anne Gadegaard (Danish Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2003 representative).[3][4]

At Junior Eurovision
Greece performed 1st in the running order of Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2003, making Greece the first ever country to perform at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, preceding Croatia. Nicolas Ganopoulos got 8th with 53 points out of the 16 countries, with the highest score from a country being 12 points from Cyprus. Chloe Sofia Boleti announced the Greek points for the contest.[5]
