Reverted page moves
Hello, please note that I've reverted your page moves regarding the years in the Palestinian territories. Please be aware that for subjects related to Palestine a move discussion. See WP:RM#CM for more information. Hey man im josh (talk) 18:20, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello! I was doing this in the spirit of Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2025_March_5#Palestinian_territories Hassan697 (talk) 18:21, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Hey man im josh do you mean that I need to wait until that discussion is finished before making such moves? Hassan697 (talk) 18:24, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- That's a category for discussions, not for the articles themselves. But yes, you want to allow discussions to actually finish before trying to move forward with relevant changes. Hey man im josh (talk) 18:26, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for taking the time to explain. Hassan697 (talk) 18:28, 10 March 2025 (UTC)

Category redirects
Hello, Hassan697,
Why are you blanking category redirects and tagging them for speedy deletion as empty categories? They aren't empty, they are category redirects. I can't think of any explanation for what you are doing. Can you provide one? Liz Read! Talk! 03:30, 24 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Liz,
- Thanks for reaching out!
- In the recent discussion at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2025 April 7#Palestinian territories, it was decided to rename or merge all categories related to Palestinian territories into Palestine without keeping redirects. Based on that consensus, I began tagging those category redirects for deletion.
- However, I realize now that I may have used the wrong speedy deletion tag in some cases—apologies for that. You're right that they are not simply empty categories but category redirects. Given the discussion outcome, though, they are not supposed to remain as redirects either.
- Going forward, I’ll tag them with {{db-redirnone}} as that seems to be the appropriate tag for redirects that are not meant to be kept, according to what I understand. Please feel free to correct me if I’ve misunderstood any part of the process!
- Thanks again, and I appreciate your help in clarifying this.

Making a page for the Occupation of Palestine
You wanted to move the Occupied Palestinian territories page to the Israeli Occupation of Palestine. Now, I had the page converted to a redirect because it makes more sense that way. However, there are pages like Occupation of Palestine or Israeli Occupation of Palestine that you can use now for an article on the occupation of the West bank and Gaza. I support using the Israeli Occupation of Palestine because if we used the Occupation of Palestine, we would need to include every time the place has been occupied. I don't think there is a page on the Israeli occupation/settlement/colonization of Palestine, so I would be up to help you with the task if you need, thanks. The redirect Full-scale invasion of Ukraine has been listed at redirects for discussion to determine whether its use and function meets the redirect guidelines. Anyone, including you, is welcome to comment on this redirect at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2026 January 20 § Full-scale invasion of Ukraine until a consensus is reached.
