In the last days a very serious conflict on Mexico-related articles has been taking place, as can be seen on this diffs [1][2] both, Grayfell and Moxy have been performing identical edits on different articles (they particularly want to remove Encyclopedia Brittanica) and have been coordinating to keep their version of the article up[3][4], its gotten to the point that Grayfell replies to the questions I make to Moxy[5][6] as I pointed here[7]. I also had an exchange with Moxy recently were I brought my concerns about how similar his behavior to that of the blocked sockpuppeter is and he replied verious times saying things on the line of "the guy was right" if you all don't beleive read his replies here[8][9]. So if this isn't sockpuppetry it surely is at the very least meatpuppetry, which is considered equaly as offensive on Wikipedia.
The discussions I've been having with them are even worse, as shown in the discussions they both exhibit tremendous amounts of WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT and backtrack from all the times they've previously acknowledged that Brittanica estimates White Mexicans as at least 30-33%[10][11][12] of Mexico's population just for the sake of trying to remove Brittanica from articles (Moxy just removed Brittanica from the article Demographics of Mexico earlier [13] and have worked coordinately to remove it from the article of Mexico, which is unacceptable as Brittanica is a highly reputable source. Said WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT levels are very similar to the ones Php2000 and on particular Analyticalreview exhibited last year, besides this Grayfell's topic of discussion: blood types on Mexicans[14] was also Analyticalreview's point of discussion last year[15] (it was the final point we discussed on). Both of them also format their comments on a similar way) hence why I'm opening this discussion as a new report on Php2000.
Another similarity I found is with the account Domen von Wielkopolska, as on this edit Domen von Wielkopolska added information to the article of Mexico[16] that was strikingly similar to the edit that Grayfell used days ago[17], Domen von Wielkopolska edit history reveals an extreme interest on race/ethnicity and Indigenous peoples, which is something the sockmaster has in common with this account (Moxy also exhibits an extreme interest on such topics, something that I noticed long ago is that he's always on articles that sockpuppets are on), as he has an endless amount of accounts to edit this topic as i evidenced in this diff of the previous report here[18] (look specially into the second-to-last paragraph) and [19].
The aforementioned edits/edit summary leads us to the fourth reported account on this SPI: Tiggerjay, as he is using the same argument that Grayfell and Domen von Wielkopolska used about Brittanica "saying Whites are only 15% in the 2000s[20]" (what makes this suspicious is not only that the three of them have an identical opinion, but that the the three of them are holding onto information that is outdated and has already been corrected in the newer entries of Brittanica), his manner of discussion is also full of WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT, with him using identical arguments to discredit sources to those of Moxy, compare [21] with [22] and Grayfell, compare [23] with [24], all of this despite that, as I've said earlier, that they acknowledged an at least 30%-33% White Mexican figure before (here are the diffs again[25][26][27] just in case).
I deliberated much on opening this SPI because Moxy is a long standing editor, but so is this sockpuppeter and also may be because of this that editors don't stand up to his abuse of multiple accounts (and why problems with this vandal have been going for so long). To administrators/Checkusers that want to step in, I must point out that on the previous report extensive use of proxies/VPNs was confirmed[28] various times so checkuser may not return much, but as I said earlier, at the very least flagrant meatpuppetry is evident. - I have to disagree with your recent saying here Moxy. While not all have been successful, my SPIs have caught very nocive vandals in the past and they have had a very positive impact on Wikipedia, the ones I opened last year particularly, resulted on a very notorious reduction of vandalism on articles related to race/ethnicity at a point I think many regular editors of such articles noticed. - This looks like opening a SPI to win a content dispute to me. PhilKnight (talk) 11:59, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
- This is an abuse of process by the filer. Closing. Bbb23 (talk) 14:27, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
- Seems this process has been used for a long time to suppress an outlining problem of competency. Moxy🍁 21:46, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
