• Do Not Delete. They are one of the biggest Tommy Boy artists (they have been the featured band on the Tommy Boy Website since summer). • Keep. How Plushgun gained popularity is notable. It's unique how the band was spotted by a notable independent label, Tommy Boy Records at South by Southwest music festival because of Plushgun's initial expose through We Need Girlfriends and the website Ourstage. Is there any other band that signed a major record deal because of a youtube video? Comment With this new source, Plushgun has been the subject of two nontrivial publications (the other being from Spinner.com, here: [2])about Plushgun's relationship to Ourstage and Tommy Boy Records. Also found a mention about Plushgun's Tommy Boy deal in The Christian Science Monitor, "OurStage hosts online talent show" by Matthew Shaer, 2008-08-22, p. 25.
