- Thank you for pointing out this oversight. Lucia Newman was born in London but spent most of her childhood in the United States in New York and Washington. Newman said in an interview that "I didn't consider myself of a particular nationality" and that in the United States, she felt like a "foreigner".source I have revised the article to reflect these facts and statements.
