Manternach is a commune and small town in eastern Luxembourg. It is part of the Grevenmacher canton
As of 2024, the town of Manternach, which lies in the south of the commune, has a population of 728.[1] Other towns within the commune include Berbourg, Lellig, and Munschecker.
Manternach railway station has regular services directly to Luxembourg City and Wasserbillig. There are approximately 35 trains per day travelling from Manternach to Luxembourg.[2]
Population
The population is very international (as often the case in Luxembourg, mostly peasants (active or retired) and from the Grand duchy. Foreign people fare from Germany, Poland, Senegal, Ethiopia, France, the Netherland, Italy et cetera live peacefully in Manternach. German or luxemburgish languages are mostly used, sometimes french.[3]
