Hostre (Ukrainian: Гостре; Russian: Острое, romanized: Ostroye) is an rural settlement in Pokrovsk Raion, Donetsk Oblast, eastern Ukraine. The population is 557 (2022 estimate).[2]
During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russian forces claimed to have taken control over the settlement on 25 September 2024.[3][4]

Russian milbloggers claimed that Russian forces advanced near Maksymilyanivka and seized Hostre, but ISW has not observed confirmation of these claims.
