Summary

Description
English: Ottoman Possessions in the 19th Century. Note how Matabeleland and the Ashanti Kingdom are displayed; both were only conquered during the 1890s. The map could even be from the early 1900s, but at that time the German colonies in Namibia were more established. Also note that Egypt is marked as British, not Ottoman, though the colors look alike.
