w:Lockheed Lodestar 'Kotare' of w:New Zealand's w:National Airways Corporation built as C-60A 42-52062 sold under lend lease to the w:RNZAF as NZ3513 it saw service in the Pacific during World War II before being sold to w:Union Airways of New Zealand in 1946, gaining civil registration ZK-AJM. Inherited by NAC on 1 April 1947, and named 'Kotare', AJM was sold in the US in 1952 as N4836V, later reregistered as N611N, last known owner the Union Sugar Corporation. this photograph is believed to have been taken between 1949 and 1950.
