La Plaza de Mendoza (...) no tiene la firma del autor. El historiador argentino Bonifacio del Carril, en su obra Monumenta Iconographica, identifica a Goering como el autor. El arqueólogo argentino Daniel Gastón Schávelzon también identifica a Goering como el autor.
