X:IN (Korean: 엑신; RR: Eksin; stylized in all caps) is a multinational girl group based in South Korea.[1] Managed by Escrow Entertainment, the group consists of five members: E.sha, Nizz, Nova, Hannah and Aria.[2][3] They made their debut on April 11, 2023, with single "Keeping the Fire".

X:IN, the stylized form of EXIN, is derived from a Latin word meaning "furthermore." The "X" symbolizes an unknown variable, as seen in mathematics, representing the group's mission to transcend conventional boundaries and express concepts beyond standard definitions through their uniqueness and talent.[4][5]
History
2022–2023: Pre-debut activities
E.sha, was member of groups like Rusty.G and Laonzena.[citation needed]
Nova, was part of the dance cover team Dalcom, where she performed K-pop dance covers in public. She also worked as a voice actress, dubbing characters in Russian. Nova joined Escrow Entertainment through online auditions and underwent only four months of training before debuting.[6][7][8]
Aria, known Gauthami was a former child actress. She appeared in Malayalam movies such as Thank You and Melvilasom.[9][10] Like Nova, she joined Escrow Entertainment through online auditions.[11]
Roa, debuted as a soloist on April 24, 2017, and was also a pre-debut member of Daily.[citation needed]
Similarly, Chi.U made her solo debut in November 2021 and was a member of the dance team Majesty.[citation needed] Additionally, she appeared in episode two of Dreamcatcher's Why Not Me.[citation needed]
2023–2024: Debut with "Keeping the Fire", line-up changes, Synchronicity, and The Real

On April 11, 2023, they made their debut with single "Keeping the Fire".[1][4] Due to personal circumstances, Chi.U departed the group in June 2023, followed by Roa in July 2023. In July 2023, the company announced a lineup change, introducing two new Korean members, Nizz and Hannah.[citation needed]
Synchronicity is the first extended play, released on August 30, 2023.[12][unreliable source?]
The Real is the second extended play, released on February 25, 2024. The side track "My Idol" references to the names of senior K-pop groups within its lyrics, emphasizing themes of self-confidence and individuality.[13][14]
"Seoul - Moskva" is a collaborative single by X:IN and Russian artist TSOY, released on October 25, 2024. The song blends K-pop and Russian pop influences, symbolizing the cultural connection between Seoul and Moscow.[15][unreliable source?][16]
