Vavrečka (Hungarian: Vavrecska) is a village and municipality in Námestovo District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1600.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 656 metres (2,152 ft)^[3] and covers an area of 8.95 km² (3.46 sq mi) (2024).^[4]

It has a population of 1707 people (31 December 2024).^[6]

In year 2021 was 1620 people by ethnicity 1584 as Slovak, 32 as Not found out, 8 as Czech, 5 as Polish, 2 as Ukrainian, 2 as Other, 1 as Russian, 1 as Austrian and 1 as Hungarian.
