Where I've been

I doubt anyone cares but I might as well share in case anyone wonder. I've been struggling with depression for over a year now and find it difficult to care about Wikipedia anymore. You will likely see more of me again some day and I usually read things posted here or in my pings eventually. If you want to contact me it doesn't hurt to try, but don't expect a timely response. -- Trialpears (talk) 08:17, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Just glad to see your name pop up on my feed; we'll still be here if and when you decide to return. Primefac (talk) 00:20, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Likewise. Sorry to hear you're going through a rough patch. You're always welcomed around here. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 00:45, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Take care of yourself, and ask for help when you need it. I hope to see your valuable contributions back here when you are ready. – Jonesey95 (talk) 17:47, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hope things get easier. Your well-being comes way ahead of anything on here. Take care, Rjjiii (talk) 08:35, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing much new to report here really. Guess I might be on my way towards a recovery but who knows. At least I have a fair chance of passing my first exam in a year and a half next week. I still love the project a lot but don't have the energy to do much and Wikipedia is low priority. I've learned so much from all you guys and grew a ton as a person from helping out here. I hope that to return one day but that day definitely isn't here yet. God I'm tearing up. Trialpears (talk) 11:13, 12 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You closed this specifically finding that WP:NOTSOCIAL was not a sufficient argument for deletion; would you also say that there was consensus that this was no redundant under WP:DEL#10 and WP:TOPPOST (bullet point 2)? If so, could you clarify that in your close; if not, would it be okay for me to start a new TfD with those rationales instead? — Qwerfjkltalk 09:13, 15 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Qwerfjkl I checked WP:TOPPOST while closing since it was mentioned in the discussion and at most I think it's a weak point like the other two. What is excessive is highly subjective and it's clear that most participants in this discussion didn't consider it excessive. The situation is similar with the useless and redundant language in the deletion policy. Participants had reasonable objections to that characterization and it's not my role to decide that it is. I can not give vastly more weight to the minority view on this flimsy policy basis. I don't think it's appropriate to renominate these templates soon when the situation hasn't changed just like with any other discussion closed as keep.
