About Henry Bernet profile
@Mellamelina I disagree with your edition instance on this. "Personal life" emcompasses curious facts about a tennis player; his comparison to Federer fits better in this section than "Early Life" which should be reserved to show the first years of a player in the sport.
Also, when we want to cite multiple relatives of a player beyond mother and father (e.g siblings, cousins, uncles/aunts) - "Personal life" is better suited to this PindoramaBoyy (talk) 15:32, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Mellamelina And "Junior career" is imprecise, as it is much more a stage of a certain player at the sport than "a career". Many users choose 'Juniors' term, there is not a consensus on that, so no need to remove a good edition of another user PindoramaBoyy (talk) 15:38, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- Oh, and there's not such a thing as "youth football" - it's just 'football', simple as that PindoramaBoyy (talk) 15:41, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- So when someone like Declan Rice's article clearly states that he played youth football (see infobox) for Chelsea and West Ham, what exactly do you make of that? Mellamelina (talk) 15:43, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Mellamelina It's a tautology - it means the same as "played football as a kid/child", basically PindoramaBoyy (talk) 15:48, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- Is English your first language? Youth football is standard wording and makes sense in the article. Mellamelina (talk) 15:50, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Mellamelina this term is way different than "U-18/U-14 football", which is a real segment of football. "Youth football" is an imprecise term PindoramaBoyy (talk) 15:51, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- I don't understand what you're trying to say. The cited article states that he played until the age of 12. Does imprecise mean incorrect to you? Mellamelina (talk) 15:54, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Mellamelina So it's better to edit "He played football on his early adolescence" or a technical term like "he played U-14 football" PindoramaBoyy (talk) 15:56, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- What you wrote isn't grammatically correct and reads very clunky. Additionally, the cited article doesn't specify what level he was at, which, again, is why I wrote "played youth football" which is concise and grammatically correct. If you can find an article that supports something like "played U14 football" then be my guest, but as it stands now the statement is supported by the source. Mellamelina (talk) 15:59, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Mellamelina At least we agree on maintaning "Personal life" section and his function - show a curious fact about some player. Bernet's playing style comparison to Federer fits in this section PindoramaBoyy (talk) 16:07, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- Agreed, cheers. Mellamelina (talk) 16:08, 13 January 2026 (UTC)

- I can see your point on the Federer comparison, but across Wikipedia articles they include siblings in the early life section. Additionally, I've seen Junior career used more often than Juniors. It's a standard wording.
- Furthermore, your tendency to edit war instead of coming to a consensus directly in the edits is a bit concerning. I'm not sure why you delete sources as well. When you added his siblings names to the Personal life section, you completely omitted a source. When you add claims on Wikipedia, you have to back them up. Mellamelina (talk) 15:42, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Mellamelina And you remove editions of other users without asking them first. If I removed a source link, it was a mistake.
- And I saw a lot of users choosing 'Juniors' instead - like I commented above, there's not a consensus on that PindoramaBoyy (talk) 15:46, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- I see Juniors used most often when they have an all-encompassing Career section with further subsections. Right now there’s a Junior career and a Professional career section. If you changed it to Career with subsections for "Juniors" and professional that would make more sense. Mellamelina (talk) 15:48, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Mellamelina The poin stands: There's not a consensus about these terms, so you don't need to remove editions of other users. You had valid arguments on relatives being allocated in "Early Life" (I honestly was not aware of this rule) and maintaning source links, but not about these other editions issues PindoramaBoyy (talk) 15:55, 13 January 2026 (UTC)

1949 (film) revision
Hi Mellamelina, hope you're well. I'm writing from the team working on the film. We've made amends to the page - specifically that the film is based on The Magician by Colm Tóibín - but you reverted this back due to old references online. We can confirm this is not the case, and would ask that you remove the reference on the page or allow us to amend it. Many thanks. ~2026-28904-7 (talk) 18:14, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
