A tag has been placed on Deborah Loomis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Could you help me make a Wikipedia article about Deborah Loomis? M555333555M555333555M (talk) 16:51, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I looked for sources to support an article on Deborah Loomis and couldn't find anything other than brief mentions. You should only start an article on a person if you can find significant coverage in independent published reliable sources. You can learn more at WP:Notability and at WP:Your first article. Schazjmd (talk) 17:09, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much. I also looked a lot (also for Maggie Thrett and Winona Ryder’s mother) and all I could find (so far) are the artificial intelligence programs and IMDB. I will keep looking. M555333555M555333555M (talk) 20:34, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Why a “speedy deletion”, this is a noteworthy actress and nobody else is bothering to make a Wikipedia page!

Deborah Loomis moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Deborah Loomis. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and they need to be solid independent reliable sources (i.e., not IMDb) and should be cited in the text. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:16, 28 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Deborah Loomis (March 28)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Sophisticatedevening was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Information icon Hello, I'm Waxworker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Bill Pullman, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Waxworker (talk) 14:20, 28 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Reliable sources

Please read WP:Reliable sources. ChatGPT is not a reliable source. Search results cannot be cited as a source. Imdb is not a reliable source. Hope that helps. Schazjmd (talk) 16:15, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Why is Chat GPT and IMDB not reliable sources? I want to know. M555333555M555333555M (talk) 16:20, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Please read WP:Reliable sources to understand. Schazjmd (talk) 16:21, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

April 2025

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Lou Ferrigno, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. Schazjmd (talk) 16:18, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It was from Chat GPT and other artificial intelligence programs. M555333555M555333555M (talk) 16:29, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Those are not acceptable sources. Schazjmd (talk) 16:30, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Please list the sources I can use. M555333555M555333555M (talk) 16:31, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There is no such list. You must find sources that meet the requirements explained in WP:Reliable sources. Schazjmd (talk) 16:33, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Question for you: what about my edit to Jill Biden’s daughter? Her mother’s Wikipedia article states her Italian background as Sicilian but someone removed Sicilian from her daughter for what reason exactly? Shouldn’t it stay that way? M555333555M555333555M (talk) 16:48, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It can be added if properly sourced. Schazjmd (talk) 16:52, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It was already properly sourced on her mother’s biographical Wikipedia page though. I thought that was enough. After all, it’s her daughter. M555333555M555333555M (talk) 16:54, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Information must be sourced in the article. Schazjmd (talk) 16:56, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, information must be sourced in each article. You can copy the source to another article, but Wikipedia cannot be used as a source, per WP:UGC. --Magnolia677 (talk) 17:01, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Bill Pullman, you may be blocked from editing. Schazjmd (talk) 16:22, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It was from Chat GPT and other artificial intelligence programs and I did stop after reading your comment. M555333555M555333555M (talk) 16:31, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
