Thank you so much for your initial pass of the article! I knew it needed work, but having an outside party come in and point out the glaring errors really helps pinpoint what changes need to be made. I am making a point to corroborate the references where I used his own autobiography as a source and replace that with published sources where possible. Some of the details of his childhood may prove impossible to source, and if that is the case should I just remove the statements entirely? Another followup question: in this statement "Per MOS:LISTSOFWORKS, a complete list of works must be appropriately sourced to reliable scholarship; the bibliographies here are unsourced." do you mean by "the bibliographies here are unsourced"? do you mean the list of books authored by Dr. Willius? Thanks so much for your attention, time, and feedback. Evansknight (talk) 14:16, 9 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Evansknight, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, yes; if something cannot be corroborated by a published source, it cannot be used. Sorry for not having been clear on the bibliography part - all you need is a reliable source or sources that prove that said works exist and were authored by Dr. Willius. I'm sorry that I failed your nomination, but I'm glad that you're taking steps to fix those issues and get the sourcing to GA quality. Please let me know if I can help with anything! Kimikel (talk) 21:04, 9 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I think I understand but I'm also confused. Wouldn't the listed bibliographic citation, showing the journal, issue, page numbers etc of the published article serve as proof that it exists? How can one cite a citation? Evansknight (talk) 21:32, 9 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I looked into it more and I've seen some variation. For some (ie List of works by John Buchan) they do indeed have each work verified. For others (ie Dan Savage bibliography), not really. Both are featured lists; therefore, either level of sourcing is acceptable (presumably). As such, the bibliography should be fine as is, my apologies. Kimikel (talk) 12:37, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled granted

Hi Kimikel, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Dr vulpes (Talk) 22:06, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
