January–February 2026 Backlog Drive | New pages patrol
New Pages Patrol is hosting a one-time, two-month experimental backlog drive aimed at reducing the backlog. This will be a combo drive: both articles and redirects will earn points. The drive will run from 1 January to 28 February 2026. The drive is divided into two phases. Participants may take part in either phase or across both phases, depending on availability. Barnstars will be awarded based on the number of articles and redirects patrolled during the drive. Two-month drive-exclusive barnstars will be awarded to eligible participants. Each article review earns 1 point, while each redirect review earns 0.2 points. Streak awards will be granted based on consistently meeting weekly point thresholds. I wanted to provide some context on the non-English sources used, specifically Het Financieele Dagblad (FD) and Het Parool. FD is the Dutch equivalent of the Financial Times; the cited article is a comprehensive narrative profile analyzing the founder's background and the company's business model pivot, rather than a routine funding announcement. Similarly, the Parool piece is a feature on the company's operational expansion into new sectors.

I had previously discussed WP:NCORP requirements with reviewer SunloungerFrog on the draft's Talk page, who requested we find "feature stories" to establish notability. These sources were added specifically to satisfy that request. I suspect the language barrier and paywalls might make them look like routine news at a glance, but they are significant, independent coverage. 1. Het Financieele Dagblad (FD) (The Dutch "Financial Times")
   • Article: "In Malaysia I was already more psychologist than engineer" (Feb 2020)
   • Why it works: It is a third-person narrative profile. It analyzes the specific business model efficiency of the platform.
   • Original Dutch: "‘Psychologen doen best vaak werk dat iemand anders of een app ook kan doen’ ... ‘In plaats van honderd patiënten kan een psycholoog nu al snel 130 tot 140 mensen helpen.’"
   • English Translation: "Psychologists often do work that someone else or an app could do... Instead of 100 patients, a psychologist can now help 130 to 140 people."
2. Het Parool (Major national daily)
