Thank you

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
Hi. A few days ago you mentioned me in a communication here as an example. I don't know whether as a good example or not, but it felt good to me just like when teachers point out a student as a good example. And this mention lifted my mood so much for the past three days. It might not have meant anything to you but it felt great to me. I read in a guideline that paid editors should not waste volunteer's time by excessive communication so I try not to send any messages to volunteer unless absolutely necessary. But I really had to say this. Thank you so much. I am very grateful for the feeling your message brought to me. HRShami (talk) 06:04, 17 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@HRShami Thank you so much for your hard work! I didn't realize this meant so much to you. It was obviously highlighted as a great example for other paid editors to follow. If you don't mind, I'll continue to share your profile to other paid editors as a reference to follow. Gheus (talk) 17:54, 17 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. It will be an honor and a confirmation that I am doing this right. I will do my best to honor the trust you have shown. Thank you so much! HRShami (talk) 04:01, 18 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for Creation backlog drive

Hello Gheus:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in December!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than half a month of outstanding reviews from the current 2+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 December 2025 through 31 December 2025.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 06:07, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Query re: Draft:OpenUp (company)

Hi Gheus, thanks for the review. I noticed the decline was based on a lack of in-depth/independent sources.
I wanted to provide some context on the non-English sources used, specifically Het Financieele Dagblad (FD) and Het Parool. FD is the Dutch equivalent of the Financial Times; the cited article is a comprehensive narrative profile analyzing the founder's background and the company's business model pivot, rather than a routine funding announcement. Similarly, the Parool piece is a feature on the company's operational expansion into new sectors.
I had previously discussed WP:NCORP requirements with reviewer SunloungerFrog on the draft's Talk page, who requested we find "feature stories" to establish notability. These sources were added specifically to satisfy that request. I suspect the language barrier and paywalls might make them look like routine news at a glance, but they are significant, independent coverage. Would you be open to taking another look with this context in mind? Thanks! JakeNW222 (talk) 06:10, 23 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, give me your 2 best sources and I will review again. Gheus (talk) 04:07, 24 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Gheus: Thanks for the quick reply. Here are the two best sources (both independent, national Dutch newspapers) that establish notability beyond routine funding news. I have included the original text and translations to assist with verification:
  1. Het Financieele Dagblad (FD) (The Dutch "Financial Times")
    • Article: "In Malaysia I was already more psychologist than engineer" (Feb 2020)
    • Why it works: It is a third-person narrative profile. It analyzes the specific business model efficiency of the platform.
    • Original Dutch: "‘Psychologen doen best vaak werk dat iemand anders of een app ook kan doen’ ... ‘In plaats van honderd patiënten kan een psycholoog nu al snel 130 tot 140 mensen helpen.’"
    • English Translation: "Psychologists often do work that someone else or an app could do... Instead of 100 patients, a psychologist can now help 130 to 140 people."
  2. Het Parool (Major national daily)
    • Article: "These hairdressers are trained by psychologists" (Nov 2025)
    • Why it works: It covers the company's operational expansion into the personal care sector, demonstrating societal impact beyond corporate B2B sales.
    • English Translation: "That observation lies at the basis of a remarkable collaboration: for the first time, hairdressers from the Amsterdam chain Rob Peetoom are receiving training from psychologists... The training that OpenUp developed is based on recognizable situations from the salon."
I have updated the citations in the draft to include these quotes in the |quote= parameter to assist with future verification since the originals are behind paywalls. I believe these satisfy WP:NCORP. Thanks for reviewing! JakeNW222 (talk) 06:00, 24 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question regarding your review of Draft:Polypheny

Thank you very much for your review. You have mentioned that the article lacks reliable and independent sources. However, I have cited multiple peer-reviewed articles from various authors, published in academic journals and conferences. Can you please point out what else I can do?

V0671 (talk) 08:49, 23 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Your main source is a PhD thesis which is a primary source. Please remove all primary sources and resubmit. Thank you. Gheus (talk) 04:10, 24 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the clarification! I see now that my draft relies too heavily on primary sources, in particular the PhD thesis. I will rewrite the draft to rely on independent secondary sources, and shorten sections where the content can only be supported by primary/technical documentation. Once I’ve made these changes, I’ll resubmit the draft and let you know. Thanks again for your time and guidance. V0671 (talk) 15:05, 24 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback on draft

Hello,

Thank you for reviewing Draft:Plat4mation and for the feedback. I understand the concern around notability and the need for in-depth independent secondary sources. To help me improve the draft, could you please clarify whether the main issue is the type of sources used or the lack of substantial coverage in major publications overall? I want to make sure that I can make meaningful improvements and would appreciate any guidance. Thank you for your time. Sugandha.Verma.486 (talk) 21:14, 25 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

January–February 2026 NPP drive - Phase 2

NPP unreviewed article statistics as of February 02, 2026

Welcome to Phase 2 of the January–February 2026 NPP drive. During Phase 1, we reviewed 16,658 articles and 4,416 redirects, and there is currently a backlog of 16,475 articles and 23,782 redirects in the queue. Fantastic job! Completing 22,502 patrols in the first phase made a significant dent in the backlog. Let's keep our foot on the gas for Phase 2, and I hope we can achieve even more reviews than Phase 1. Best of luck!

Start patrolling!
