Songs Based on Literary Works
Dear DB, I happened across your entry for “Songs Based on Literary Works” and it occurred to me that the album that the band I am in just released is in fact comprised of original jazz music composed by myself and using the original text of 8 different poems from the Book of Songs, the oldest extant collection of Chinese poetry. Perhaps it would be of interest to add to the list. If so, here’s the link to the page about the literary aspect of the music: https://www.zytheway.com/concept

- Are you referring this edit at the page List of songs based on literary works? That was merely a correction to an existing spelling error. I was fixing spelling errors working off this database report. I have no particular knowledge or interest in songs based on literary works. DB1729talk 01:14, 12 February 2025 (UTC)

Edit Made Earlier Today
Hello DB1729, Not sure if all my information is accurate her but it appears you made an edit earlier today (March 24, 2025) to an entry made approx. 30-40minutes before it got reverted? If this was you, Thank You very much! My question is, how did you pick up on that entry of inaccurate information so quickly and can you shed any light on why someone would make an entry like that knowing it was absolutely not true? Here is the info I have on the user: Reverted 2 edits by 2600:387:F:91A:0:0:0:8
Any feed back you can offer would be appreciated. Thank you, Joey N - TN Jnewgar3 (talk) 00:53, 24 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Jnewgar3: The revert you're referring to is here. The edit stated he died on that day the 22nd, my time (the edit actually occurred on the 23rd UTC per the time stamp of the diff. It seemed suspicious because I hadn't heard anything about it. But to make sure, I simply googled the name and selected 'news' to see if anything came up. Nothing did. The subject is a fairly high profile driver. If he had actually died, it would've been all over the news and social media. It took me about 10 seconds to satisfy myself that the edit was vandalism and I reverted it.
- As to why someone would do such a thing? I don't know a good answer to that. Vandalism occurs all the time, almost constantly on WP. Why does anyone vandalize any page? I guess maybe it gives them some sort of thrill? The essay Wikipedia:The motivation of a vandal makes an attempt to answer the question. --DB1729talk 11:41, 24 March 2025 (UTC)

Request - Unwanted Edit Adult Image , Sex Ai etc..
I would like to report that the page <Vatsavai has been subjected to inappropriate edits involving adult images and language. These edits are unwanted and violate Wikipedia's content guidelines.
Additionally, the page title appears to be a misspelling. Kindly consider restoring or renaming the page to the correct title: [[VastavX AI]] — the intended article path should be: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VastavX_AI.
Thank you for your attention and assistance in maintaining the integrity of Wikipedia.
Best regards,
Hi Admin,!!!!! Vatsavai is misspelled can u restore to this path https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VastavX_AI]]Thank you! Bbarebiese (talk) 11:01, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
- FYI, Vatsavai was hijacked yesterday to talk about AI software rather than a village in India. I've rolled the article back to the pre-hijack state. —C.Fred (talk) 11:10, 8 April 2025 (UTC)

Sorry. If you received a automatic notification of an revert of your edit to this article you can ignore it. I was backing out an edit from October and I mistakenly undid from the current version. Same overall effect (no change to your edit), but I now realize you may have been notified. Meters (talk) 22:19, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
- User:Meters, I wasn't notified. Good catch!:) --DB1729talk 22:24, 10 November 2025 (UTC)

Category changes
Hi. On all 3 articles related to List of military electronics of the United States, I reverted edits you made removing several categories. If you can explain why, I might agree — TadgStirkland401(TadgTalk-Email) 19:06, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi User:TadgStirkland401. See Wikipedia:Categorization#Categorizing pages where it states:
- Each categorized page should be placed only in the most specific categories to which it logically belongs, and subcategories should be categorized under only the most specific parent categories possible.
- In this case I removed Category:United States-related lists because the page was already in its subcategory Category:United States military-related lists. Similarly, if you place a page in Category:Electronics lists, there is no need to also place it in its parent category Category:Technology-related lists.
- Note also that in each edit summary of mine, I did include the shortcut link to relevant guideline WP:CATSPECIFIC.
- The guideline also states:
Important: All categories form part of a tree-like hierarchy. Do not add categories to pages as if they are tags.
- I always look at the category page itself before I add something to it. Make sure it actually belongs with the other members already in the category. Check to see if it would fit better in one of its subcategories. While doing these checks, one may also notice things like helpful descriptions of the scope of the category, or even hatnotes like on Category:United States-related lists where it contains the reminder
Pages in this category should be moved to subcategories where applicable...
- After looking over all the categories on those articles, even after my removals, it looks like more cats could be trimmed. See also Wikipedia:Overcategorization. --DB1729talk 21:48, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
- Great explanation! Thank you for helping me. — TadgStirkland401(TadgTalk-Email) 00:23, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- User:TadgStirkland401, I'm glad to help out:) Btw, I'd like to say that it appears you have done an absolutely tremendous job in compiling these list! I know very little about the subject, but those list are very impressive! Well done!
- I've added sortkeys and I removed a couple more redundant categories. I also removed all the military branches lists categories. See here for example. If these lists really are relevant to each of those, then it is sufficient to simply put them in Category:United States military-related lists and it's all covered, in my opinion. But if you really think they belong in each and all of the branch cats, then just remember to remove them from the more general United States military-related lists.
- I think the lists are still well categorized and look a lot less cluttered now, but could possibly be trimmed a little more. Do they really belong in Category:Lists of armies (navy forces) equipment and Category:Lists of armies (air forces) equipment? Those seem too specific. Being in Category:Lists of military equipment, the "grandparent" of those, should have that covered. DB1729talk 12:27, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
- Awesome! These particular lists seem to have become a major hobby for me. My hope is that with all the sources I've cited, someone will take enough interest to generate new articles for the more interesting electronic gear. But so far, I haven't seen anyone jump in. Thank you so much for the help, and the compliments. — TadgStirkland401(TadgTalk-Email) 20:42, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
