When warning vandals
Thank you for trying to revert and warn vandals, that is very appreciated. However it is very important to not respond when they are trying to make trolling comments like at User talk:24.51.233.131, as that only gives them the kick their looking for and encourages them to continue. The essay WP:RBI has more information that can explain it more. Again, thank you for helping to fight vandalism. Sophisticatedevening (talk) 19:41, 3 March 2025 (UTC)

- Hi I am Katherine Hayles and am trying to bring my wikipedia page up to date. I want my day and month of birth removed for security reasons. I am also making other changes to correct errors and update my page. Please return the published page to the edits I made in the last few hours. Thank you. Nkhayles (talk) 19:54, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
- I cannot do that. Sorry Bender550 (talk) 21:05, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
- The data I am trying to correct are such thingsw as my current employment. I am no longer at Duke University, for example, and have an appointment at UCLA. I have also received additional awards such as being elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. I have also published another book and want to add it to the content. Is there a problem with this? Nkhayles (talk) 15:52, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
- I didn't revert anymore, I actually tried to remove the date and got reverted myself. Its best for you to follow the advice given on your user talk page. Bender550 (talk) 16:16, 4 March 2025 (UTC)

Daniela Ambrosoli
Hello Bender550 I am new to editing Wikipedia; yesterday was my first day. Today I wanted to continue updating Daniela Ambrosoli's entry and I see that you have deleted all of yesterday's work, seemingly because I failed to provide an explanation of what I am doing. I didn't know that was necessary. I will do that in the future. Daniela's entry has some issues she has asked me to resolve, so I am replacing her previous text with a comprehensive text with many more citations and references. In doing so, I am learning how to edit in Wikipedia and proceeding step by step. I guess my next step is to redo my work from yesterday. May I ask you to please refrain from deleting all my editing work on this page in the future? Thank you for your understanding. WWtext (talk) 08:17, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
- I can stop, and I apologize for any inconvenience. Bender550 (talk) 13:20, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hello Bender550, thank you for your message and your understanding. WWtext (talk) 16:39, 5 March 2025 (UTC)

speedy
Speedy deletion nomination of Karthick Krishna M S

A tag has been placed on Karthick Krishna M S requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Jess Dixon
Hello, I noticed that my recent edits to the Jess Dixon page were reverted. I made factual updates regarding the subject’s re-election, legislative work, and updated photo, all properly cited to reliable sources. Can you clarify which part of the edits was an issue? I’d be happy to revise anything that doesn’t meet Wikipedia’s standards. Thanks!

- The AI generation was an issue. Bender550 (talk) 15:14, 8 March 2025 (UTC)
- I don’t understand what you mean. I used AI to write the wikitext because I don’t know how to edit Wikipedia, but there’s nothing AI or wrong about the content. Wren-zs8-1gemini (talk) 04:41, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
Edit warring to re-instate incorrect information about living people on Dmytro Cipywnyk
Hey Bender - I just got finished answering an edit request on Dmytro Cipywnyk to remove incorrect information about a living person. The person in question - the non-notable child of the article subject - was trying to remove an incorrect claim about the identity of their mother, but where unable to do so because you were edit warring with them. I've fixed the issues on the Cipywnyk for now, but there's a couple things I need to talk to you about. Firstly, while we strongly encourage that people with a conflict of interest use the edit request template, we cannot unilaterally demand that they do so. Secondly, incorrect statements about living people are something we take seriously, to the point where dealing with them means you can sometimes ignore some other policies. I know sometimes on Wikipedia conflicts get heated, or you see something that's generally an issue - such as conflict of interest editing - and you sort of tune out everything else. However, when it comes to things like this, we need to be really careful, and never forget what we're here to do - document what the sources say. I'm going to give you a little template now - which looks rather big and blue and scary, but it's just a notification letting you know some other best practices when it comes to editing articles relating to living people. Cipywnyk may be deceased, but his children aren't.
You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
Please let me know if you have any questions, or, since I see you're just getting settled in yourself, you can always ask for help with this stuff at the Teahouse! And, because I haven't said it yet, thank you for all the editing you've done so far and I hope you're enjoying yourself here! GreenLipstickLesbian (talk) 01:01, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, I did not know I was edit warring, and I will be more considerate from now on Bender550 (talk) 01:14, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
