Hello! I'm wondering why my talks keep being deleted when I am pointing out real information with sources. It feels like censorship, but I may be doing something wrong! Please help Asavvz (talk) 22:30, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm wondering because I don't see why we can't talk about a disinformation campaign going on against Carney when there is multiple sources confirming it. I used multiple sources coming from different owners, I can add more if it is the problem. Asavvz (talk) 22:32, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

What talk pages are not

I think you should read Wikipedia:NOTFORUM & Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Discussing a disinformation campaign against Carney outside wikipedia is no concern to the talk page. Unless! There is actually some disinformation about him in the article and you want to draw attention to it. Thanks! Masterhatch (talk) 22:32, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

There could be a section about Mark Carney "Disinformation campaign". It is not a "forum" discussion, it is simply things that are happening in the world. Should this not be in an encyclopedia? On Trudeau's page, there is an actual section about foreign interference. My goal is not to talk about the subject, my goal is for the information to be added to the page. I am not aiming to start a forum discussion or anything of the sort. I was pointing out facts with sources and the information should be on the page. I don't quite understand. On the Mark Carney talk, you said, 'I think it would be appropriate to talk about it, considering it directly concerns him.' That's a whole different ball of wax than 'There could be a section about Mark Carney "Disinformation campaign"'. Keeping that in mind, virtually every politician has had a disinformation campaign against him. So I suggest that if you want to have a section re disinformation about Carney, present it that way on the talk; don't present it as having a chit chat aboout it. Also keep in mind, WP:VNOT — just because it's out there, doesn't mean it'll improve the article. Masterhatch (talk) 23:44, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Heard! I'm sorry, english is my second language, by "talk about it" I really meant "talk about it on the wikipedia page" but I understand why there could be confusion. Thanks for your help, I will try to consolidate the information in a way that is more productive and understandable. Asavvz (talk) 00:02, 20 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
