Notice of a logged contentious topic warning
The following sanction now applies to you:
You are warned to be more careful when interacting with primary sources, especially regarding living or recently deceased people.
You have been sanctioned per this arbitration enforcement thread.
This sanction is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Index/Palestine-Israel articles and the contentious topics procedure. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.
You may appeal this sanction using the appeal process. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal to the arbitration enforcement noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. Let me know here if anything above is unclear to you. ~ Jenson (SilverLocust 💬) 05:07, 31 August 2025 (UTC)

Would appreciate your input at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Comparisons between Hamas and Nazi Germany. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shiklu (talk • contribs) 21:59, 3 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for pinging me. To be honest I don't think there is a lot of value in such articles but I'll take a look - maybe I'm too quick to judge. Alaexis¿question? 21:45, 4 September 2025 (UTC)

Your summary on your 19:48, 4 September 2025 revision was "massive removal, looks like vandalism". I only intended minor text edits. The removal was totally unintentional and I've no idea how it happened. Is there an way that can be indicated? Mcljlm (talk) 21:35, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Mcljlm, I suppose I reverted the changes you made, sorry. Blanking whole section happens, just use the preview feature next time and it won't happen again. Alaexis¿question? 21:44, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
- I use the preview so I assume I did then but as my edit was the addition of one word in a specific section only the preview of that section would have appeared.
- I asked about indicating the removal wasn't intentional. Is that possible? Mcljlm (talk) 03:30, 5 September 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, probably I misunderstood you question. *Now* I understand that the removal was not intentional. Don't worry about my edit summary - which can't be edited retroactively anyway - it's not some kind of black mark.
- I don't know what exactly happened when you edited the article, it could've been a bug or maybe you've accidentally left only one section. It doesn't really matter now. You might want to look at an article after making an edit to make sure that you've done exactly what you intended. You can always revert your edits explaining what happened in the edit summary.
- Happy editing! Alaexis¿question? 08:18, 5 September 2025 (UTC)
Question from Csober12 (22:38, 4 September 2025)
Hi there! I'm really stuck on how to get my citations adequate. I'm working on Draft:Governor General's Curling Club. The issue is the organization was founded in 1874 and any links to its original creation are books or documents at Archive Canada. We're a fairly niche organization but notable in the Curling Canada world. Many members are past Olympians. With not being in main stream media, how can I get our sources approved? Or what would my next steps be? Thanks in advance! --Csober12 (talk) 22:38, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Csober12, I'm not really familiar with the way the notability policy is applied for sports organisations and WP:NTEAM is rather unhelpful.
- Probably you could argue that this article on the official site of Curling Canada is sufficient to make the club notable - it's worth asking the reviewer about it.
- Also, it might be worth asking for help from the folks at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Canadian_sport. Alaexis¿question? 08:27, 5 September 2025 (UTC)

Question from Catsrbetter88 (23:22, 14 September 2025)
Hi! I have just made a draft for our local church. Draft:St. Nicholas Orthodox Church of Barrie. Could you please review the article and let me know if there are any ways to improve it? If the system allows it, you are more than welcome to edit and/or add something to improve the article; it would mean a lot. Also, would Wikipedia likely approve it in its current state? Thanks! --Catsrbetter88 (talk) 23:22, 14 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hey @Catsrbetter88, thanks for creating a draft. Please review the notability guidelines and try to find sources that are independent of the subject - at least some coverage in local media. Alaexis¿question? 05:47, 15 September 2025 (UTC)

U/sxva-da-sxva
@Alaexis:, I can not but notice that It just so painfully obvious that you are u/sxva-da-sxva (https://www.reddit.com/user/sxva-da-sxva/) on Reddit - all you do there is defend Russia and Israel, just like here.
You are just so typical example of "liberal" Russian and Zionist Jew (Russian Jew) - unapolotigically defending Russian imperialism and also Israeli imperialism, but trying to mask it in liberal terms.
Assuming that you are a genuine person and doing all of this out of genuine opinions - may I ask why are you doing this? If you are genuinly liberal, does not it means that you should be sympathetic to post-Soviet countries which struggle against Russian imperialist influence? Or you think propping up separatist movements, exploiting ethnic tension, arming up rebels is very "liberal", granting you right to defend Russian intervention by saying - "those population wanted to be separate, Russia is clean"? So imperialism is justified for you, as long as the imperialist can create liberal grounds for intervention, even though in reality they are just exploiting the situation in bad faith by creating never ending frozen conflicts which benefit them? And why are you defending Israel, they are literally committing genocide in the most barbaric ways, but of course they play the victim, as if they are the poor guys and not Palestinians who lack anyone's support for their statehood. 131.100.62.157 (talk) 17:49, 20 September 2025 (UTC)

- Thanks for clarifying. Most likely it was deleted because it failed the notability criteria. Some of the sources you're using like Apple Music and Amazon Music aren't considered reliable. Others, like the Times of India piece only mention him briefly. I can't check the Hindi-language ones, maybe they provide substantial coverage. I'd suggest you rewrite the draft using only reliable sources and if after that you feel that he satisfies the notability criteria, submit it again. It may also help to ask the editor who deleted your draft about the reasons. Alaexis¿question? 10:45, 3 October 2025 (UTC)

Question from Sintujitravelwale (20:23, 31 October 2025)
Hello,
I recently created a Wikipedia article about Satish Kumar Yadav, a politician from Bihar who served as the MLA from Raghopur constituency (2010–2015) and is contesting again in the 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections as a BJP candidate.
I have added multiple references from MyNeta.info, Moneycontrol Hindi, Jagran, and ABP Live, which confirm his election history and current political activities.
Could you please review the page and let me know: 1. Whether the notability criteria for politicians are adequately met, and 2. If there are any suggestions to improve the references, tone, or structure of the article?
I want to ensure that the article fully complies with Wikipedia’s Biographies of Living Persons and Verifiability guidelines.
Thank you so much for your time and guidance! --Sintujitravelwale (talk) 20:23, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Sintujitravelwale, he definitely satisfies the notability criteria as he was a member of the legislative assembly of Bihar. The sources - which I can examine only after machine-translating them - seem okay, even if they don't cover him in detail. Alaexis¿question? 15:28, 1 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Alaexis,
- Thank you so much for taking the time to review the article and confirm that Satish Kumar Yadav meets the notability criteria. I really appreciate your feedback.
- I’ll continue improving the article by refining the tone and adding more detailed coverage from reliable Hindi and English sources to strengthen the references.
- If you have any further suggestions regarding structure, neutrality, or citation formatting, I’d be happy to incorporate them.
- Thanks again for your guidance!

Hi, I have been editing an article about the Tail Suspension Test. I have added a variety of scientific and peer reviewed sources that have been using one of these tools to achieve their results. I have cited one of my clients, a major provider of these tools, and have been reversed. How could I obtain a citation while observing wikipedia rules? Thanks --Wielp (talk) 10:18, 4 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Wielp, you should follow the WP:COI guideline. This edit is clearly problematic [2]. Use the Edit COI template to request such changes.
- I can't judge the rest of your contributions - if they are solid and there is no COI there then probably you can restore them. Alaexis¿question? 11:49, 4 November 2025 (UTC)

Hello! I have an article in my sandbox I would like to publish but can't seem to figure out how to do that. Right now it says it's a draft. --Erokni (talk) 00:59, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Erokni, there are two ways for you to do that. You can submit your article to a review process by adding {{subst:submit}} to the top of your draft. The upside is that you might get valuable feedback even if it's not accepted immediately. The downside is that it can take a looong time.
- Alternatively, if you are 100% sure the article satisfies the notability criteria (WP:NACADEMIC) then you can just publish an article yourself (Tools - Move - (Article mainspace)). Personally I'm not confident the criteria are satisfied as there is just one piece *about* Rebecca Charbonneau in the sources you've used. Btw do you have any personal or professional connection with her? Alaexis¿question? 08:31, 13 November 2025 (UTC)

Taking a break from editing the Hamas article and PIA topic
Hi Alaexis. In response to Raskolnikov.Rev's inquiry on my talk page, I have decided that you should take a break (not optional) from editing the Hamas article for a while, as well as a shorter break from the broader PIA topic area for the 1RR violation. Looking through the contributions there for more than the past year, I see a long pattern of you both "repeatedly overrid[ing] each other's contributions" based on your "disagree[ment] about the content of a page" (that is, edit warring), especially regarding your dispute about its acceptance (or not) of the 1967 borders. (This isn't to say that there wasn't other poor conduct involved.)
In particular, please do not edit Hamas article for 90 days (a restriction I'm also giving to R.R) and please do not edit regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict on any page for 30 days.

- Been frustrated over that no one cares to see the substance of my edits, I have added most sources of value to that article and improved it immensely, because it is my field. BassiStone (talk) 21:21, 6 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from Rikkugon (23:00, 25 January 2026)
Hello! I'm new here. I signed up primarily to help improve the citations the "Chapman Stick" and similar pages. However, my background is in neuroscience and biomedical research, and I hope to eventually contribute to these areas as well. I'm very pleased to have been assigned a mentor! My first question is a technical one. I'm putting in a citation for a book authored by the inventor of the Chapman Stick, which he originally self-published in 1974. (I realize there are potential problems with self-publishing, but this is the best source for a lot of details about the instrument.) At the beginning of the book, it list "copyright 1974, 1975, 1976, 1980, 1989 and 2004," as I assume the first date he published it and dates when he added material to update the book. The citation template doesn't seem to like it when I put in all these years...Can you point me to where I can find specific details about this kind of citation, as well as other book citations (i.e. listing the whole book once and listing specific page ranges later)? I would much appreciate it! --Rikkugon (talk) 23:00, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from Rebecca at Endgame (03:59, 3 February 2026)
Hi there! I'm Rebecca, and I'd like to make some edits on pages. How long does it take usually for one's edit to be reviewed (and if I may know the process). And is there any tips to get the edits better? --Rebecca at Endgame (talk) 03:59, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Rebecca at Endgame, most of the time you just make an edit and that's it, it's applied immediately. Other editors will look at it and might ask questions or even revert it if they believe it doesn't improve the encyclopedia. Do try it and let me know if you have more specific questions. Hello I updated about myself and created an article about me. But It vanished not updated --Mridulaya Singh (talk) 17:28, 5 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, @Mridulaya Singh, it's usually preferable that other people create an article about yourself since you have a WP:COI. Please review the notability criteria too. Alaexis¿question? 22:46, 5 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Luca Magorosso (10:16, 10 February 2026)
Hi, I'm Luca from Italy. I've noticed English Wiki is way bigger than Italian one, and I'm Italian native speaker. I was wondering what's the fastest way to add a new language to an article, if there is a mask to have english and italian side by side or something like that. Thanks, Luca --Luca Magorosso (talk) 10:17, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Luca Magorosso, I'm not sure I entirely understood your question. Can you give an example maybe? Alaexis¿question? 21:33, 11 February 2026 (UTC)

Hello, can you please advise on how to publish an article from drafts? --Denisakomorousova (talk) 12:49, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Denisakomorousova, thanks for creating a draft. I've done some formatting tweaks but I feel that it's not yet ready for the mainspace. Please check your references, they should support *everything* that is written in the article. Alaexis¿question? 21:58, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
Override clause (Israel)
Hi! Ive noticed the 'Override clause (Israel)' page is missing the 'end' of the story, so I went ahead and added it. Thanx for creating this page User:Alaexis. Have a great day :) ScottyNolan (talk) 09:17, 11 February 2026 (UTC)

AI Source Verification
Hm, I don't see the Verify option on 2010 Vector (next to Article and Talk). So I have to run localStorage.removeItem('verifier_sidebar_visible') in console and then refresh to open the sidebar.
I don't think it deals with the #ca- vs #t- stuff correctly. Polygnotus (talk) 13:28, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Polygnotus: I think I've fixed it :) Does it work for you now? Alaexis¿question? 22:05, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you! I do see it but its in the More menu (and I think its cooler as a tab, next to Article and Talk, in
.p-associated-pages). Just like in new Vector. That way its far more visible. Thanks! Polygnotus (talk) 22:32, 11 February 2026 (UTC)- I haven't been able to move it there, sorry. Would you like me to give you access to the repo to have a go at it? Alaexis¿question? 17:50, 13 February 2026 (UTC)

It is soft-pedaling
Trust me, there is a local consensus on any articles about the Ukraine article that says neutrality does not matter and we must dispute all Russian propaganda. I'd recommend just leaving it alone - no good will come of it and the local consensus will not permit itself to be shifted. There are not enough people who care deeply enough about article neutrality to be willing to get called a Vatnik to shift it. Simonm223 (talk) 15:44, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
- And so the Nazis of the Azov brigade are "no longer far-right" after all, they said so. Simonm223 (talk) 15:44, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Simonm223, I think it's not black and white and that the consensus can change. Do leave a note there - maybe there are more editors who feel like you do. Alaexis¿question? 15:42, 21 February 2026 (UTC)
