Talk:Rishi Sunak

Portrait label

Whoever said "A cropped version of the image is not an official portrait", why? Look at all British Prime Ministers since Gordon Brown, as well as all sitting Cabinet ministers and UK party leaders, they have official portrait as the caption of the main images in their article text, whether they are cropped or not. Chancellorship not in the 'ministerial offices' dropdown

Might be a shout to put Sunak's office as Chancellor outside of that ministerial offices dropdown. Compared with recent british Chancellors he has been somewhat notable as the chancellor during the pandemic and the nature of his departure and how that brought down Johnson.

(Also David Cameron's role as foreign secretary is given second billing, use that precedent how you will) Ejointhehouse (talk) 17:10, 15 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sajid Javid resigned first. And the writing was on the wall for Johnson anyway, even without Javid and Sunak's resignations amid the Chris Pincher scandal, Johnson would've still been found guilty by the privileges committee over Partygate. --209.93.85.118 (talk) 21:32, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Category:People of the Gaza war

Sunak was the incumbent PM when the war started, and dealt with the UK's initial response to the conflict and the initial protests. His article should therefore be added to this category, as is rightfully the case with his successor Starmer. ~2025-37349-71 (talk) 09:10, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Billionaire?

@Sarah from Queens, can you point me to where the article supports that please as I looked but could not find it - and the 2025 Sunday Times Rich List puts him at £640M [1]. Thanks. -- DeFacto (talk). 20:57, 6 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

In November 2020, Sunak was reported by The Guardian to have not declared a significant amount of his wife and family's financial interests on the register of ministers' interests, including a combined £1.7 billion shareholding in Infosys. Sarah from Queens (talk) 21:50, 6 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
That 5-year old allegation doesn't say that his personal wealth was more than £1bn though, or that he is currently a billionaire. I think the objection to that category stands. -- DeFacto (talk). 22:39, 6 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the self-revert. -- DeFacto (talk). 14:03, 9 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
