Soyuz MS-27 has landed with 3 crew aboard. Expedition 73 has finished and Expedition 74 has begun. The ISS has a new Commander.

In the Infobox:

  1. Change Crew size from 10 to 7
  2. Change current expedition from 73 to 74
  3. Remove Soyuz MS-27 from the expedition list
  4. Change the current commander to Michael Fincke (NASA)

In List of current crew members:

  1. Remove Jonny Kim, Sergey Ryzhikov and Alexey Zubritsky
  2. Mark Michael Fincke as current commander
  3. Remove picture of Sergey Ryzhikov

In Currently docked/berthed:

  1. Remove Soyuz MS-27 JitteryMarksman (talk) 10:07, 10 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Day Creature (talk) 17:05, 10 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Expedition 74 dates and crew (including Commander): https://www.nasa.gov/mission/expedition-74/
The detail of the change in crew is spread between both of those pages, but also summarised by the BBC here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/videos/c93n0939q5yo JitteryMarksman (talk) 12:10, 16 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like the article has already been updated to reflect this. Let me know if anything still needs to be changed. Day Creature (talk) 14:28, 16 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

+ Ground Speed of ISS

This one is less talked about even in forums, so let alone official publications. I searched around and there's this discussion on Stack Exchange: [1].

Should see if there's any reliable sources for citing. I think it's an interesting addition to the article. At least my first reaction to the fact sheet was "okay so where's the ground speed?" 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk 11:30, 2 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Because the distance from the center of the Earth to its surface is almost equal to the distance from the center of the Earth to ISS, the ground speed is very close to the orbital speed. (— 𝐬𝐝𝐒𝐝𝐬 — - talk) 20:50, 24 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to propose changing the lead image of the article.

This image provides a clearer view of the current configuration of the ISS.And this picture is officially used more, such as Expedition posters. Red9870f (talk) 11:50, 13 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: You'll need to provide a reliable citation for the appearance of the ISS in Civilization V. Thank you. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 16:59, 19 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
