@Margalob: I just finished an article on Harriet Lawrence for our editathon at OSU 3/19/2021. She developed the first serum, which treated the bacterial infection side issues, but since this page focuses so much on the quarantine itself I wanted to see how you felt about a "treatment" section at the bottom.Osu.archivist.tem (talk) 15:14, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Margalob: I'm curious how you accessed the Oregonian article titled "'Flu' Serious at Coos Bay" (currently ref 11). Did you access it through Multnomah County Library's NewsBank database? The reason I ask is that there appears to be a discrepancy between MLC's database and the University of Oregon's Historic Oregon Newspapers website. In the NewsBank database provided by Multnomah County Library, the article appears on page 4 of the December 13, 1918 issue (which is what we cite in our article); however, UO's scan shows that the article was printed on page 7 of the Oregonian's December 12, 1918 issue.^[1] The librarians I spoke to at Central Library said NewsBank probably scanned a different edition of The Morning Oregonian than that used by the University of Oregon, and I just wanted to confirm that you retrieved the article via NewsBank. I went ahead and aligned the Oregonian article's publication info with the University of Oregon scan. I'm still hazy on why there was a discrepancy to begin with, but I think it's better to go with the UO version for consistency with the other citations.
