Description
English: United States Army Air Forces Ford B-24H-1-FO Liberator (s/n 42-7479, named "War Horse") of the 579th Bombardment Squadron, 392nd Bobmardment Group, drops bombs on the German airfield at a target St. Jean D'Angely (Fontenet), France, 31 December 1943. This aircraft was lost on the 4 January 1944 mission to Kiel, Germany. It is believed that she went down over the North Sea and the entire crew was killed (MACR 1909).
