An untitled John Wick prequel is an upcoming American animated action thriller film directed by Shannon Tindle and written by Vanessa Taylor. It tells the story of the titular character before the first John Wick film. Keanu Reeves will reprise his role voicing Wick.

The film is produced by Thunder Road Films and 87Eleven Entertainment for release by Lionsgate.

Before the events of John Wick, Wick must eliminate all of his rivals in a single night to earn his freedom from the High Table to pursue his love.

In October 2024, Lionsgate Films announced that an animated prequel film in the John Wick universe was being developed at Thunder Road Films and 87Eleven Entertainment.^[1] At the 2025 CinemaCon, it was announced that Shannon Tindle would direct from a script written by Vanessa Taylor, and Keanu Reeves was expected to reprise his role as the titular character. Producers for the film included Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Chad Stahelski, and Reeves.^[2][3]
