I have a copy of the October, 1968 issue of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction in which this story appears.

The credit is indeed “Reprinted from Abbottempo, published by Abbott Laboratories.”

But since it is being reprinted in October, 1968, the original publication by Abbott could not have been December, 1968. Slgaiser (talk) 16:47, 6 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The article did not claim that the story was published in Abbottempo in December 1968. Before your change, the article read: "The story was written in April 1967 and was first published in December in Abbottempo". This implies that the story was published in December 1967.
