Add the following: The 1910/1911 league title win by Manchester United would be the last for 40 years (30 seasons - 10 seasons of football lost to world wars 1 & 2)) until the league title triumph of 1951/1952. Coincidentally Liverpool would go into match this Barren run of their own between 1990 and 2020. 86.5.40.237 (talk) 21:50, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Needs to be updated

There is a section which mentions Liverpool has 69 trophies compared to man utd as of may 2025. However following Liverpool’s premier league win for this season this number has become 70 to man utd 68. 2001:8F8:1167:AC83:B472:4454:1B19:B4AB (talk) 12:08, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

2023/24 FA Cup Quarter-Final

The 23/24 fa cup quarter final should be included in the "significant games" or "other notable games" section of the article. It was a dramatic game with a 4-3 winner in the 120th minute. 2600:4040:90B4:A600:C6B:3E12:5AB9:181E (talk) 00:51, 22 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia supposedly prides itself on being a reliable source of unbiased information but the below is pure opinion and not necessarily the truth.

“Players, fans and the media consider the fixture between the two clubs to be their biggest rivalry, above even their own local derbies, with Everton and Manchester City respectively.[6][7][8]”

whilst it could be argued that this is likely the case for Manchester United, it certainly is not the case for Liverpool. Sources of Gerrard, Carragher, and a third fan view are given below.

https://www.empireofthekop.com/2019/12/28/video-gerrard-says-everton-are-lfcs-biggest-rivals-man-utd-not-at-the-top-anymore/amp/ ~ Steven Gerrard literally states he sees Everton as a bigger rivalry

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9wsUnTugpjc ~ 14 minute mark, Jaime Carragher clearly states he sees Everton - Liverpool rivalry as ‘bigger’ than Liverpool - Manchester United

https://jeffgoulding.com/tag/ian-rush/ ~ a fan perspective that states that they see everton as the biggest rival.

Wikipedia prides itself on impartiality, and either deleting this paragraph or rephrasing would be apt.

It can easily be argued that Everton are culturally their biggest rivals with these above sources, along with actions that clearly indicate this, such as chants in the matchday crowd and whom Liverpool select to play at anfield for women’s games (there have as of Dec 2025 been 7 women’s games at anfield, 5 Everton, 1 Manchester City, 1 Manchester United). ~2025-42252-35 (talk) 01:34, 23 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
