A special American Airlines pilot
My wifes uncle Howard Woodall in 1929 was flying as the first pilot for Texas Air Transport the parent company of Amarican Airlines. It was Captain WoodaLL that established their first passenger route from Rl Paso,Texas to Dallas, Texas. He was responsible for establishing emergency landing strips and hiring indians to light fires at night for navagation along the route. He wrote a fantastic story (never published) which we have along with his American licence about establishing American Airlines. ~2026-87080-6 (talk) 19:29, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
