Mirrah Foulkes is an Australian director, writer, film, and television actress.

Career

Film

Foulkes has appeared in several Australian films since 2006, including Spider (2007),[1] Dying Breed (2008), Animal Kingdom (2010),[2] and the erotic drama Sleeping Beauty (2011).[citation needed]

In 2012, she made her directing debut with a short film Dumpy Goes to the Big Smoke which she also wrote herself. The film received positive response from critics and garnered her several awards and nominations.[3][4][5][6][7][8]

Television

In 2005, Foulkes had a two-episode guest role in Blue Heelers. In 2009, she appeared in All Saints, playing the character Jo Mathieson; she appeared in every 2009 episode prior to the series's cancellation in late October 2009.

She had a small role in Wild Boys as the feisty outlaw Jessie West in 2011. In 2012, she played Rebecca Bourke in the TV series Devil's Dust. She played Simone in the TV series Top of the Lake in 2013 and Kellie Norton in the miniseries The Principal in 2015. In 2014 and 2015 she played Ellie Clayton in the TV series Hawaii Five-0.
