Bot-created subpage

A temporary subpage at User:Polbot/fjc/Henry Jacob Friendly was automatically created by a perl script, based on this article at the Biographical Directory of Federal Judges. The subpage should either be merged into this article, or moved and disambiguated. Polbot (talk) 21:01, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New book - March 2012

A new book about Judge Friendly is being published this month: Henry Friendly, Greatest Judge of His Era, by David M. Dorsen (Belknap Press of Harvard University Press, ISBN 978-0674064393). I found it via this review. Both of these would probably be useful in this article. Cheers, CWC 07:04, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm keeping an eye out for the book. Word in the legal community is that it may rival the Learned Hand biography by Gunther among the most important works of scholarship on a federal judge who never served on the Supreme Court. I certainly agree it will be very useful and relevatn for this article. Newyorkbrad (talk) 01:30, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
