On Martin Luther King Jr the cointelpro stuff is just speculation that it followed him his whole life. Can it be deleted from his intro summary? Which is: " J. Edgar Hoover considered him a radical and made him an object of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's COINTELPRO for the rest of his life." I think I may have fixed it by editing the sentence to make it shorter, with more clarity (compare the above "before" with: Named "Michael" at birth, King's father changed his son's name in honor of the 16th century Protestant reformer, Martin Luther. I don't know enough about the circumstances of the name, what do major sources say? If Dr. King's birth certificate name was other than 'Martin Luther King' then a mention is not out of order, and hopefully polishing can smooth the sentence language.
