Yes. Have done for years. First note in the world to do so, as I recall. Banknotes are not my thing though (aside from spending the damn things), so I'll leave that to someone else. Tannin

The only Australian banknote ever to feature a holographic panel was the commemorative $10 note of 1988. This was the first polymer banknote issued by the Reserve Bank of Australia and featured a hologram of Captain Cook. I remember TV and newspaper reports at the time saying that the hologram could be scratched off or boiled off, I don't know if this is true or not though.
