Chapter 1
Rusty Cartwright is a freshman in college, attending Cyprus-Rhodes University alongside his big sister, Casey, and is roommates with a religious nerd, Dale, who frowns on Rusty's wish to shedding his geeky image by joining a fraternity. Until Rusty arrived, no one at Cyprus-Rhodes knew that Casey had a brother, and Casey insisted that he remain low-profile in hopes that he would not ruin her chance to be elected president of the Zeta Beta Zeta sorority. In an effort to be friendly to her family, Casey's boyfriend, Evan, offers Rusty a spot in the Omega Chi Delta fraternity, which he declines after finding Evan cheating on Casey with Rebecca Logan, a senator's daughter who was the sorority's main target during rush. In turn, Rusty accepts an offer from Cappie, Casey's ex-boyfriend and the current president of Kappa Tau Gamma, the black sheep of the Greek system. Rusty also has a short-lived relationship with ZBZ pledge Jen K, who turns out to be an undercover campus newspaper reporter fishing for information to write an expose focused on the CRU Greek System. With this, the current ZBZ president, Frannie, is forced to step down, and Casey is appointed by ZBZ Nat'l as the interim president for the Spring semester.
