Carre's Grammar School is a popular selective school and specialist Sports College located in the market town of Sleaford, in Lincolnshire. It was founded in 1604 by Sir Robert Carre. The school has been at its present site since 1835.

Resources and Buildings

With the recent creation of the learning resource centre and the all weather football pitch there are two new buildings. The learning resource centre has 30 brand new computers all of which are on the school network. In the LRC the is also a brand new 6th form area which has another 30 new computers.

The all weather pitch is also a great asset to the school. Is is a flood-light, UEFA standard pitch. It has one big senior pitch which can be divided into three smaller pitches.

Students

As of 20 January 2007, there were 744 students.

Behaviour For Learning

BFL is the new punishment system at Carre's. It has seemed to work quite well. It is designed to stop disruptive behaviour in the classroom, so the classroom is a working/learning environment. It works on the basis that you get a C1 for messing about and then a C2 if you mess about twice.
