Thank you for alerting me that I had not provided a citation for my correction on the page for J. Mayo Williams. I have re-added my correction with a citation to a newspaper article from 1919 that refers to him as Mayo "Ink" Williams, years before he got into the music business. There are dozens of such clippings; I just chose one. I am a known authority in this field, author of numerous books on blues and music history from publishers including Oxford, University of Massachusetts, Routledge, etc. |

Thank you for alerting me that I had not provided a citation for my correction on the page for J. Mayo Williams. I have re-added my correction with a citation to a newspaper article from 1919 that refers to him as Mayo "Ink" Williams, years before he got into the music business. There are dozens of such clippings; I just chose one.
