Non notable film. Sourced to pr about the soundtrack. Lacks independent coverage. No sign of any reviews. duffbeerforme (talk) 03:35, 18 March 2025 (UTC)

- Keep: Precisely, the music makes it notable; meets WP:NFIC as important in the career of a notable person; https://www.business-standard.com/article/news-ians/ilayaraja-goes-international-with-english-film-love-and-love-only-116111600673_1.html https://www.sbs.com.au/language/hindi/en/podcast-episode/australian-indian-film-love-n-love-only/pg6w18ajt https://www.deccanchronicle.com/151024/entertainment-tvmusic/article/ilaiyaraja-composes-music-indo-australian-film (Ilayaraja's first non-Indian film) (as I indicated at least once in one of my edits to the page) -Mushy Yank. 10:28, 18 March 2025 (UTC)
- NFIC says it must be a major part of his career. No evidence of this being the case. Being the (maybe) first English language film he scored is not that important. Secondly per that criteria's second line it would not clutter up his biography page if it was mentioned there. duffbeerforme (talk) 23:45, 18 March 2025 (UTC)
- [1] Bloodstone 1988 English language film, music by Ilayaraja. duffbeerforme (talk) 01:10, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Bloodstone is an Indian (and American) film (with crew and cast partially Indian), shot in Bangalore and set in India (and the music is by Jerry J. Grant, with the title song by Thomas Marolda; I can't even see Ilayaraja's name in the end credits...(nor hear his music)).
- Maybe the fact that this Australian film is his (1st real) non-Indian film is not that important for you or for me, but sources seem to consider it is important for him. If you don't think it's going to clutter up his bio, feel free to redirect it (or add it to list of films he scored in the 2020s). (Btw, Bloodstone is listed in List of film scores by Ilaiyaraaja 1980s but with no source and he did not "score" the film; at best his work was used (uncredited?); I would tend to think we should remove it without a source if ImdB is all that there is). Thank you for your concern. -Mushy Yank. 02:23, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- The sources don't focus on it being non Indian but on being (incorrectly) first in English. And none say it's a major part of his career. None of those sources are much good. Director says this, director says that. The comments on the music is because that's what his pr is pushing. (Pandavas: The Five Warriors is English language, so no fact checking done by source I guess). duffbeerforme (talk) 05:28, 19 March 2025 (UTC)

- PR newswire. I wonder what the PR there stands for. Maybe it's Promotional Rubbish. Maybe not. Press releases are not independent coverage. duffbeerforme (talk) 13:31, 20 March 2025 (UTC)

- Strong keep: It won awards: https://www.thestatesman.com/entertainment/southern_cinema/love-and-love-only-ilayaraja-goes-international-2-1502469494.html . Moreover, the article was expanded and meets WP:HEY. Kailash29792 (talk) 20:48, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
- Won awards from where? International Film and Entertainment Festival of Australia? Not a major award. Which part of the expansion do you think meets HEY? The addition of PR or the addition of PR? duffbeerforme (talk) 00:32, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
- DareshMohan expanding the article is what meets WP:HEY. WP:NFILM states that a film is notable if it "has received a major award for excellence in some aspect of filmmaking". IFEFA does sound like it meets that criteria since it isn't an amateur or indie level. Kailash29792 (talk) 02:04, 21 March 2025 (UTC)
