Your submission at Articles for creation: Luca Formentini (December 24)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by AngusWOOF were:
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
This still reads more like a resume

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Silvia Dalle Montagne. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:08, 12 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Silvia Dalle Montagne, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Silvia Dalle Montagne|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:21, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

thank you for clearing this, I would have not imagined there could be such suspect. I've added a declaration on my page and I confirm there's no money or other economical interest involved in the editing of the page.
Hope this is clearing my position.
Thank you again for the help Silvia Dalle Montagne (talk) 09:00, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
So how would you describe, in your own words, your relationship with Formentini? I noticed that almost your entire editing history, both here and on the Italian Wikipedia, has to do with him, attempting to create an article on him multiple times over the past five years. I assume there is a reason for that, you probably didn't pick this subject at random? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:16, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You're right and your question is fair. I know him personally and he knows I'm doing this draft, I simply like his work and think it deserves to be recognized and known. He's one of the artists I know and like who doesn't have an entry on Wikipedia. I've seen many others with less important collaborations such as his to have one and was surprised to find so many resistances in making his page.
I'm also considering making and "italian ambient musicians" article one day. Silvia Dalle Montagne (talk) 09:26, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. In that case, I'm happy to accept that you probably have no financial stake, but you still have a general conflict of interest (COI) as his personal acquaintance. Please make a COI disclosure as instructed in the thread above this, by placing the {{user COI}} template, appropriately filled in, on your userpage User:Silvia Dalle Montagne. Thanks, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:32, 13 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you and sorry for taking so long. I addeded the COI on my userpage and took the chance to explain the reasons behind my initiative.
Hope I did the right thing.
Thank you,-- Silvia Dalle Montagne (talk) 06:17, 18 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Primary sources do not establish notability per WP:GNG, and it isn't clear whether and how this would satisfy WP:MUSICBIO.

hi, thank you so much for taking the time to check my submission. I cleaned a few things up and added some recent references. These are the participation as a speaker to the international conference Sound in Museums in Portugal and two reviews published by two of the major Italian printed music magazines: Blow Up and Rockerilla.
I've added these two as I checked references not in English language can be equally accepted when sources are reliable. Silvia Dalle Montagne (talk) 18:28, 29 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

hello HwyNerd Mike,
thank you for taking the time to check my submission.
I compared my draft to some others and was thinking the details I provided were sufficient to demonstrate notability.
As we're talking about a musician who released albums (as can be verified by databases as discogs.com) with primary names in the music business such as Steve Jansen, Holger Czukay, Markus Stockhausen and Robert Rich, I thought such releases, which are all physical, are what can best show the relevance of the musician. @Iluziya7 Thank you so much for your warm message! The more time I spend editing my project the more I feel the importance and responsibility of being unbiased and neutral. It is an attitude that sometimes may feel cold and less human, but it makes perfect sense within the Wikipedia idea and mission.
Many many things to learn on the many layers where each one requires a specific knowledge of how the whole Wikipedia system works.
Wish you a beautiful new loop around the sun! Silvia Dalle Montagne (talk) 17:59, 31 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
