ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:49, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your !votes at WP:AFD

Hi Mysecretgarden, I've participated in a couple of the same AFDs as you, and in both cases your !vote has been "This subject does not seem notable" (and a sampling of your other !votes are similar). These are really not ideal !votes. WP:NOTABILITY is determined not by the condition of the article or its current references, but per WP:GNG or the relevant WP:SNG, what independent and reliable significant coverage of the article topic is available in the totality of the world. Ideally, AFD !votes provide the closer clarity with regards to what policies and evidence the !voter has investigated/assessed. Points A, C and D at WP:BEFORE is useful advice not just for nominators but for !voters. ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 01:43, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Steve Lungen.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Steve Lungen.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Johnj1995 (talk) 19:47, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable non-free use File:Esteban Navarro (footballer).jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Esteban Navarro (footballer).jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This is an automated notification. Please refer to the page's history for further information. DatBot (talk) 00:32, 16 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

MongoDB Edits

Hi Mysecretgarden! In response to. my COI edit, you posted at Talk:MongoDB Inc. that you made all the requested edits and added "As of 2025." I checked and I don't see the those changes and the edit history doesn't show any recent updates from you. Checking in to see if your edits didn't get saved. Let me know if I can help in any way! Thank you! ToniBirdOne (talk) 19:15, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

That is very odd. You are right my edits probably didn't save. I have re-posted it again. Mysecretgarden (talk) 03:40, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Arthur Soghomonyan (June 19)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Theroadislong was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Our Rescue page

Hi! Just wanted to see if you had interest in reviewing further requests on the Our Rescue Talk page. I added a new one you might like to review. Thanks! AChalin (talk) 01:32, 28 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I'll have a look. Mysecretgarden (talk) 06:04, 28 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

On paid editor requests

Please don't just mindlessly implement paid edit requests that remove critical coverage of an organisation just because a paid editor kindly asks for it. Hemiauchenia (talk) 18:47, 29 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, looking at your edit history, I see that it has been your long term mission to whitewash the article. If you have a COI you should declare it. Hemiauchenia (talk) 18:49, 29 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I want to clarify that I have no COI regarding this organization. I began editing the article simply because I was interested in their work supporting sex workers and thought the subject deserved balanced coverage. My edit history shows that I’ve been contributing to this page for some time. I understand the importance of neutrality on Wikipedia, and my intention has only been to improve the article, not to promote any specific viewpoint. If you have concerns about certain edits, I’m open to discussing them on the talk page so we can work toward consensus. Mysecretgarden (talk) 07:48, 13 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts as a sockpuppet of User:Expertwikiguy per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Expertwikiguy.
