Talk:Hironimus Pakaenoni

Feedback from New Page Review process

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Thanks for the article! We can always use more coverage of Catholicism in Asia, it's a pretty spotty area.

Merge proposal

I propose merging Jerome Ronald Packaemonniy into Hironimus Pakaenoni. They are duplicate articles and Jerome Ronald Packaemonniy is the older article by 1 day, but Hironimus Pakaenoni seems the better name. Sincerely, Taketa (talk) 08:20, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed . . go for it. Editrite! (talk) 00:21, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that they're the same person, but the target is the question. Hironimus is the Latinized name the pope uses, but what would his common anglicised name be. As I understand, Hironimus is a form of Hieronymus – the Latin form of Jerome; as we're writing in English, that might be the better name. Klbrain (talk) 22:06, 16 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Checking the English sources, Hironimus is preferred ... Klbrain (talk) 16:59, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
