Result of the War in summary box 28.10.24
Edited, to give people a brief quick results summary, like most wikipedia war pages do, in the results section, in the summary box, rather then having to read a whole section instead. Simply writing, see aftermath section, is not sufficient I don't think. Many people may not bother reading it, and simply want a quick answer. And a brief sentence detailing the result of the war, provides that necessary answer. Aristotle1991 (talk) 12:32, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- We discussed this above various times: per wiki rules, the course of operations or intermediate moments of the conflict do not belong in the result section, you have to look at the end of operations and give a concise sentence. "Initial victory of of X followed by final defeat" or longer sentences like the ones you reintroduced to give further infos on how the results came about are apparently not an accepted parameter. The summary you want belongs in the intro of the article, and it's already there. What happens is that admins and other users remove this kind of stuff over and over, because that's the rules Wiki has. 2A01:E11:17:40B0:49EE:3869:AB41:A460 (talk) 18:49, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
- Per Wiki Rules: Template:Infobox military conflict the result of the infobox can be only a "X" victory, Inconclusive, or See Aftermath section. We already discussed it at the top and we already decided to use the result "See Aftermath section" at the infobox so the readers can understand its result for both opposing parties. Lead length
Hello all, I wanted to raise a minor concern regarding the lead length. The lead section for this article is over 600 words, which is substantially longer than unofficial target of 250-400. Would any editors reading this please consider trimming some excessive detail from it? I think it could be made much more concise. 2603:8080:2400:3A80:297B:123F:B53E:8FE (talk) 03:12, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
My edit
Greetings and felicitations. I apologize, but I cannot figure out how to resolve the conflict which I just created, between the Montanari (La Campagna di Grecia) citations. —DocWatson42 (talk) 06:31, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
Length of the war
Honestly, is not clear when Greco-Italian war ends. Generally, Marita is not contained in the war. And the territorial outcome of that specific war are incorrect. As well as the Nazi Germany participation of the war. The war was fought between Greece and Italy, and if we assume that there was a de facto ending on that war, it was inside Albania. I mean that's what all the reliable sources say, no one marks the Greco-Italian war as part of the Marita Operation. Hellenic Rebel (talk) 10:25, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
