Talk:German revolution of 1918–1919

Better title needed

Just wrote first article for wikipedia about a German politician. Needed a link to the German Revolution of 1918 and found this article.

I feel it would be better titled "German Revolution of 1918" rather than "German Revolution", because there has been more than one revolution in the history of Germany, for example, the German Revolution of 1848. The only way to distinguish between these revolutions is to use their full names.

Death Toll and Casualties

So the casualties are listed to be a total of 300,000 killed and wounded? Yet I fail to see any source for these numbers. Someone needs to fact check this, as the same article in the German Wikipedia doesnt mention any casualties at all (also suspicious)

Baden and the SPD

@HangingCurve Hi -- Do you have a source for the statement that Baden trusted only the SPD to lead the government? Part of the reason I'm asking is because I wonder how much of his decision to go with Ebert was based on Ebert himself and how much (if any?) on the party he led. The other part is because your source might help resolve the 'citation needed' 3 paragraphs up that I seem to remember that I added. Thanks, GHStPaulMN (talk) 02:42, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
