The lead paragraph needs to be changed to reflect the fact it is occupied by Russia but widely considered part of Ukraine. It almost reads like Russian propaganda the way it is now Yellowjournalism (talk) 23:33, 26 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Alaexis. It was wrongly introduced in Special:Diff/1291871986 that DPR is a territory of Ukraine. If you don't like my edit please revert to language before that diff, not one reintroducing same wrong language.

Territory controlled by DPR is territory of Ukraine (as Donetsk Oblast), but DPR is not a territory of Ukraine for obvious reason that it has territory called Donetsk Oblast, and doesn't recognize any rights of Russia to create or name any territories in Ukraine.

Similarly "The entire territory of DPR is viewed as sovereign territory of Ukraine by nearly all UN member states." is wrong as DPR's (controlled) territory doesn't belong to it. If you want to reintroduce same sentence it should be "The entire territory controlled by DPR is recognised as sovereign territory of Ukraine by nearly all UN member states."
