We have: 'The assassin escaped the palace with other conspirators amidst gunfire.' and 'Other bodyguards rushed into the room and fired at the assassin, who was hit first in the leg, then twice more to make sure he was dead' and 'According to the Justice Minister Mwenze Kongolo, the killer was Rashidi Kasereka, who was shot later while escaping the palace.' The guardian article mentions the account is disputed. An investigation suggested it may have been his body guard who was responsible and he was killed at the seen. That should be added to this section to mention the two disputed accounts. Rustybooties (talk) 04:22, 2 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
