@Stormm001: This article would read better if it was written in chronological order. While this isn't a biography, it is about the actions of a living person, so the Manual of Style for Biographies should be applied. Specifically, the guideline MOS:CHRONOLOGICAL, which asks that life events be presented in chronological from birth to death. To me, it seems that the perpetrator's relationship break-up has precipitated the shooting, so it makes sense to introduce the perpetrator and the breakdown of his relationship with his wife as background information, before mentioning the shooting.
