Gentleman is a 2024 Pakistani romantic action television series that premiered on May 12, 2024, on Green Entertainment. The series is directed by Haissam Hussain and written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. It is produced by Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz under the banner of Next Level Entertainment. The show features an ensemble cast including Humayun Saeed, Yumna Zaidi, Adnan Siddiqui, Sohai Ali Abro, Zahid Ahmed, and Ahmad Ali Butt.[1][2][3]
Premise
Set against the backdrop of Karachi gritty underworld, "Gentleman" follows the story of Iqbal Munna (Humayun Saeed), a street gangster who becomes entangled in a passionate love affair with Zarnab (Yumna Zaidi), a fearless journalist known for her outspoken criticism of the criminal underworld. Determined to win her heart, Munna decides to defy his own criminal clan, led by his elder brother and mentor, Rehmati (Adnan Siddiqui). As their relationship oscillates between intense love and hostility, Zarnab realizes that the true culprits are not individuals like Munna but the affluent elite who exploit and manipulate them for their own gains. This realization sets them on a dangerous collision course with powerful forces intent on silencing them.[4]

Production
Humayun Saeed and Sohai Ali Abro makes television comeback after three years.[9] The series was announced in July 2023, with Haissam Hussain directing and Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar penning the script. Principal photography began in March 2023, with major sequences shot in Karachi's Lyari neighborhood to authentically depict the city's underworld.[10][11]
Soundtrack
The original soundtrack for "Gentleman" is performed by Atif Aslam, with lyrics by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and music composed by Naveed Nashad. The song, titled "Tumhari Chup," was released in conjunction with the series premiere and received widespread acclaim. On July 3 2024, another OST with same name released, which was performed by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
