English: Rugby (LMR) Station, with train. View eastward, towards London, also Northampton, Market Harborough and Peterborough; ex-London & North Western, West Coast Main Line, major junction. The view is along the main central island platform (No. 1), with Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 No. 44866 arriving on a Down stopping train. On the right is the Down Through and outside the overall roof the Down Goods line; the line of coaches on the left is at Bay Platform 8. The station is now totally rebuilt, without the great overall roof - and of course electrification wires everywhere |
