I'm an American film writer and academic living in Britain. My speciality is the nouvelle vague and other "new wave" movements across the world - British Free Cinema, New German Cinema, Canadian new wave, Czech new wave, Polish new wave, cinema novo, etc.

I also collect rare and niche perfumes, love horses, and read philosophy and science fiction books! (I have a feeling I'll be all over the Wikipedia map!)

I'm still learning the various conventions of Wikipedia, so if I make a mistake please tell me so. :)
